Name of Scholarship: US Senate Youth Program
Award: $5,000
Deadline: Return a resume to Mrs. Puckett by Sept. 10
Requirements: 11th or 12th grade, must be member or officer of student council. A finalist from St. Louis will be selected and will be required to write an essay (300 words) on a specified topic.
Two students from LA will be selected to spend a week in Washington, D.C.
To apply, submit your resume to Mrs. Puckett with your grade level and the name of the Scholarship at the top of the page.
Name of Scholarship: Ron Brown Scholar Program
Award: $10,000 scholarship- renewable for 4 years
Deadline: Nov 1(for several scholarships), Jan 9th (for Ron Brown Scholarship only)
Requirements: African American student, US citizen, demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service, and demonstrate financial need, an essay and 2 letters of recommendation required.
